PAINTINGS

In this section, you will be able to find a selection of paintings belonging to the project Is this modern society? (#isthismodernsociety). in which I utilize expressionism and the interpretation of emotion on the complexions of my paintings.

My images are a reflection of the moments in which we allow ourselves to avoid our inner selves and others; they force us to think about the possibilities of balance.

I use hybrid techniques that include acrylic, pencil or superposing of drip painting over a realistic image. The usage of the distortion of the form, the composition and the mix of materialities highlight the dramatism of the situations of isolation, solitude and incompleteness which they demonstrate.

In my plastic work, I represent the images from the limits of figurative realism, expressionism and graphic design. In them, the complexions and the bodies are often exaggerated and deformed. I stray away from the hyperrealism, principally searching to present what is behind the mask of my characters. Humans are his principal theme, I represent them in a real, raw and expressive manner, immortalizing particular scenes of daily life in the city.
